This year’s platinum sponsorship and attendance at HESCA 2016 conference, located at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow took place on the 21st and 22nd June, proved invaluable for Essentra Security.
Mike Parker, our key account manager attended the conference this year –
“From working in partnership with Smartex for many years to provide Universities with leading edge student ID technology solutions it was great to have the additional opportunity to meet with many members from the Higher Education Smart Campus Association, and demonstrate the latest innovative kiosk concept for university enrolment.”
The Kiosk – a new concept for student ID registration
This year, visitors to HESCA 2016 were among the first to see a new concept in providing a faster and more efficient way for Universities to go through the student enrolment process. A self service Kiosk has the potential to reduce time and resources that is a drain on Universities during the critical weeks of enrolment. Essentra Security are developing a single solution that will enable a student to self-register, capture their photograph and receive their student ID card on demand.
As usual, Essentra Security demonstrated the latest in card printing technology and this year we have shown the ZXP7 Pro from leading manufacturer Zebra. Capable of fastest print speeds in its class and high throughput it is the perfect solution for any University looking to invest in new hardware for 2016 enrolment.
So much more
We also welcomed visitors to HESCA 2016 to discuss how our solutions can play a positive role in making life easier for Universities – both Staff and Students. As the student ID card is now so much more than visual verification its integral to Universities to maximise the of multi functional smartcards offering applications for cashless catering, transport, library and print services, whilst for students the card can open the door to discounts at shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs, visitor attractions and leisure facilities.
