The printer can encode to contact and contactless cards:
Contact Card
A card with a physical metal chip on the surface of the card, which is inserted into a reader.
Contactless Card
A card with an internal chip that cannot be seen, similar to an Oyster card. This can be placed onto a reader.
The printer can read and write to a magnetic stripe.
Magnetic Card
A card with a physical stripe on the reverse for encoding data on to. This is read by swiping the card through a reader.
Contact encoding
The printer will only encode to contact cards.
Contactless encoding
The printer will only encode to contactless cards.
Combi-encoding
The printer will encode contact and contactless cards.
