Filtrona plc rebranded officially to Essentra plc on 26 June 2013
WHAT DOES ESSENTRA MEAN?
Essentra, an abstract name, was specifically chosen to capture what each of Filtrona’s businesses manufactures and supplies; namely millions of small but essential components which often play a critical enabling role in the products of the Company’s customers, everywhere and every day. The selection of a new brand for Filtrona has taken over a year of planning, extensive research and testing, and it is considered that the new identity of Essentra best represents the Company’s activities and products.
As part of its Vision 2015 strategy, the Company has progressively been creating a more unified culture, working together in a more co-ordinated way across the Company rather than down the divisions so as to leverage the Group’s collective skills and capabilities more effectively. The Essentra brand will be adopted by each of Filtrona’s businesses, representing a change from the current situation where the Filtrona name and logo is used by some but not all. It is intended that the respective businesses will adopt the Essentra identity during the second half of the year, with a view that the roll-out will be completed by the end of 2013. As such, Filtrona’s re-branding to Essentra is an important and logical milestone on the Company’s path to achieving its Vision 2015 objectives.

WHEN WILL OUR SITES BE REBRANDING TO ESSENTRA?
We will be rebranding on 14 October 2013 across all of our sites. Other Essentra companies across the group will also be rebranding on this date. We will be known as:

|Will the VAT number change?||No all VAT numbers will remain the same|
|Will the bank details change?||The name will change but the account details and number will not|
|Can you delay the name change? Or can you continue to bill under old company name until I update the new company name in my system?||We will be changing over to our new name on 14 October and our systems will not be able to bill under our old names after this. We hope that by giving 11 weeks notice most customers and suppliers will be able to update their systems where necessary|
|What will happen to the credits in my account?||All details on our systems will remain the same, and so these will continue where relevant|
|Will I receive new marketing materials with Essentra name and logo?||We can provide a range of materials for the rebrand. The marketing materials will be updated across the group for 14 October and we can provide access to these from that date. We can also provide access to the logo but it is important that these are only used after the 14 October|
|Do I pay to Payne Security or Essentra for old invoices?||We can accept payment under either name for a limited period. All payments should be made to Essentra after 31 December 2013|
|My clients only know Payne Security. Can you keep this company name in my region?||No, whilst we are proud of our name and history all Essentra companies will move to their new name in October and the company brands will change. Our existing product brands however will remain.|
|When will customers, agents and distributors get an official letter to tell them about it?||The letter will be sent in the first week of September. This will be the start of communications and we will add information to our website and work with sales and customer services to answer specific needs. An email at email@example.com has been set up to deal with specific enquiries.|
|Will you still have same phone number and fax number and email?||Our phone numbers will remain the same. We will all be moving emails to the new Essentra.com domain. These will be activated from 14 October and for a defined period our old email addresses will still continue. All emails sent after the 14 October will use the Essentra.com domain.|
|Will my contact people change? New salesperson or new Customer Service contact?||No, your contacts will remain the same.|
